I am reaching out to suggest an improvement in the font selection on your online typing tutorial platform.

As you know, clarity and differentiation between characters are crucial in enhancing the learning experience, especially when dealing with characters that are visually similar. Consolas, a font designed with this consideration in mind, excels in providing clear distinctions between characters such as 0 (zero), o (lowercase letter), O (uppercase letter), l (lowercase letter "L"), L (uppercase letter), i (lowercase letter "i"), and I (uppercase letter "I").

In contrast, the currently used Courier New, while being a monospaced font, lacks sufficient differentiation between zero and a capital O. This shortcoming could potentially hinder the effectiveness of our typing tutorial platform for learners.

Therefore, I would like to propose the inclusion or preference of Consolas as an available font in our online typing tutorial platform. This enhancement would undoubtedly contribute to a more effective learning environment, particularly in improving programming typing skills.

Thank you for considering this request for improvement. I appreciate your attention to detail and commitment to providing an optimal learning experience for our users.

A thousand thanks for this valuable suggestion for improvement! We were not aware of this. We now prefer the Consolas font to the Courier New font.
Consolas is not available by default on the Mac. Nevertheless, we have now only inserted the system font. If there are further requests, we may also integrate Consolas via a web font.

All the best from Berlin,
Your Tipp10 Team
